FOREST GREEN SCARF
The Forest Green Scarf is a scarf that I made for my partner as a Christmas present. I wanted to create something meaningful and hand-made for him as a way to express my love and gratitude for him. Although it was my first time knitting in several years, it was an extremely rewarding experience for me to create this scarf for him and seeing him wear it everyday during the winter months in Ithaca. The best part of giving this gift was seeing his reaction and how much he appreciated the time and effort I put into creating this gift for him.
The stitch that I used is an “easy mistake stitch” which uses a simple knitting pattern that alternates between knit and purl stitches and is a multiple of 4+3. It’s a beginner stitch that is extremely easy for anyone to pick up but the end result is a deep and lofty rib that looks more complicated than it actually is and using a thick yarn gives it an extra plush and cushy feel to the scarf.
